Paperwork just got an assistant.
Selyvi is built for teachers, and it keeps learning. It picks up how you write. It grows with your class. And it stays guided by current education standards — from the note you make mid-lesson to the comment on the report.
In your words, not in AI words.

Why we exist
83%
of German teachers enjoy doing their job.
Over 75%
say weekend work is the rule, not the exception.
84%
feel under heavy or very heavy strain.
It is not the teaching that wears people down. It is everything around it. That is where Selyvi starts.
Figures paraphrased from the German School Barometer of the Robert Bosch Stiftung – surveys of German teachers, 2022 and 2026.
We did not learn about those evenings from a market report. We learned about them at a kitchen table, from a trainee teacher who showed us where the time really goes.
What changes day to day
Report day arrives, and the notes you made all year are nowhere to be found
Notes from the lesson — typed or dictated — become the basis for the text.
Parent emails eat evenings. In several languages, they eat more
The email is drafted in German, then translated on request — into 9 languages.
Off-the-shelf materials never fit your own class
Materials are built from what you have already recorded about your class — and each one states its sources.

Sample data
Where the ideas come from
Built together with teachers across Germany.
Plenty of what Selyvi does started as a remark from a teacher.
What gets taken off your hands
Documentation
You record what you notice during the lesson, typed or dictated. Each child builds up a timeline, with competencies and support notes.
Communication
Report comments and parent emails come from your own notes. Parent emails translate into 9 languages on request.
Teaching
Materials and lesson drafts are built from a searchable subject corpus. Every document states where it came from.
Steering
School leadership sees the hours this gives back, month by month, in a report they can export as a PDF.
Every part of this started as something said in a staffroom. Some of it exists because one teacher would not let it drop.
What Selyvi gives back
For teachers
The writing, not the judgement.
- Record several children at once while the lesson runs, instead of from memory that evening
- No automatic step from marks to competencies. A mark in German does not tell you whether a child reads fluently — what gets assessed is what you saw
- You pick which sources from the subject corpus feed in, rather than letting them be pulled automatically
For school leadership
An overview that puts nobody on the spot.
- The workload relief report shows the time gained, month by month
- Use across the staff as a distribution – never as a ranking by name
- Trends across real months, with the current one marked as still running
For school authorities
Something to put on the table instead of a gut feeling.
- School leadership can hand the workload relief report over as a PDF
- Estimated figures are labelled as estimates, not as measured values
- The impact line places every figure: measured value or estimate
And the children? They gain indirectly — from a teacher who has time for them again.
Your data stays your data.
This website
This website is hosted in Frankfurt am Main, on servers inside the EU.
The application
Before Selyvi is used with real pupil data, the product servers move to Germany and every school has a data processing agreement in place — both are in preparation.
Strict data separation
Every teacher sees only their own observations and assessments.
Data minimisation as a principle
We collect what a function needs to work. Nothing beyond that.
No sharing of pupil data
Never passed to third parties, never used for advertising.
No parent or pupil access
Selyvi is a tool for teachers and school leadership. There is deliberately no portal for parents or children.
Common questions
We sat in those classrooms ourselves, long enough. Now we build for the people who stayed late for us.
We build the assistant that takes on the routine work. The teaching judgement stays with the person.
